Job Change – Facing up to the Challenge

Many people find the prospect of changing job very tough.  People who tend to find job hunting daunting are likely to be unused to flipping or switching jobs.  Until now they probably haven’t had to worry that much about their job or career.  They have usually worked for a thriving and growing company and therefore their job has probably been pretty safe and secure.  In fact, their work life may have been very busy, full and even a bit predictable.  Being on the job market again after such a long period of time, may have thrown their life into a complete state of flux.

It is likely that these job hunters have to consider things like their education, their career track record and possibly even their age.  Feelings of uncertainty and self-doubt can suddenly emerge at this time.  It is fair to say that around 5-10% of current job hunters are looking for work because their job has unexpectedly been made redundant.  Looking for a job under these conditions can add to the person’s stress and uncertainty.   If you find yourself in this position, it is best to harness as much job hunting advice as you can in order to ensure that you are adequately equipped and prepared for your job hunt.
